This book published in 1928  by the H. Clay Glover Company contained 91 pages about the many diseases of the dog.  The company was the most widely known manufacturer of proprietary medicines for dogs in the world.  It also included 10 pages on the care and feeding of dogs.

THE SOVEREIGN VACUUM SWEEPER

This was invented in 1860 by Daniel Hess of West Union, Iowa.  They were rolled back and forth that created  suction from the bellows inside.  The first electric vacuums were invented 1899 but did not become practical until 1907.

GULFWAX PARAFFIN

  This paraffin wax is used for sealing the top of home made jelly and jam jars.  It is also used for making decorative candles and artificial flowers; for waxing skis and for sticking desk, dresser and table drawers as well as double hung windows, doors and even for zippers.

FELS-NAPTHA LAUNDRY SOAP

Developed by Fels & Company of Philadelphia around 1893.  It was used as a remedy for poison ivy, poison oak and other skin irritants that were oil-based.  The naphtha was removed as a cancer risk.  This soap is still available 126 years since it was first produced
